Alberton pass-rates above Gauteng average

HOËRSKOOL ALBERTON: Here are Bianca Small and Chante-Leze Pieterse. They were so excited about their results. They will both further their studies at the North West University (NWU) in Potchefstroom.

THE matric class of 2016 got their results on Thursday, January 5 and the schools in Alberton did quite well. Gauteng schools attained an 87 per cent pass rate overall.

Hoërskool Marais Viljoen and Bracken High attained a 100 per cent pass rate, while Alberton High attained 99 per cent and Hoërskool Alberton and Hoërskool Dinamika each achieved 98 per cent. Glenbrack High got an 85 per cent pass rate.

The RECORD will give all high schools an equal opportunity to acknowledge their 2016 top achievers, in a combined feature. All material should reach the RECORD by no later than Tuesday, January 17 at 10:00, with publication date for the feature being Wednesday, January 25.
